1. What Inspires You and your Music? The random forces of the universe...! Now seriously talking since
early age I was very fond of illustrated ghost and fairy stories, from
classic fairy tales to Victorian moody eerie books. I was an avid
collector of this items which also influenced my art as illustrator and
it really spiced my work with its otherworldly atmosphere. Since a child
I've had a sleep disorder called sleep paralysis (see wikipedia), which
is quite the opposite of sleepwalking but makes you have night horrors
and sometimes hallucinations when you're about to fall sleep or wake
up, that really left a footprint in my first official debut album
(Ancient Shadows), and thus there are songs in it like the opening
"facing the dream", "Ancient Shadow" and "Nightmare" that deals with
this topic in particular. In the Underliving, I'm exploring darker
feelings and sentiments evoked by things that are not alive but are
perceived sometimes as if so, like the voice of the wind, the silence,
the empty spaces and so forth, talking about an invisible world that
co-exists side by side with ours. I like things romantic yet spectral,
cannot help it... dream worlds nourishes me and I have wild vivid
dreams. To read this interview in it's entirety, please CLICK HERE.
